Faxing or emailing inspection requests changes.

Faxed or emailed requests must be RECEIVED by 4 pm to qualify for the following day's inspection.

Unfortunately, some permit holders have abused this process - sending numerous requests minutes before - 4:30.

Requests must be entered, printed, organized and dispatched. These processes take considerable time. Moving the cut off time to 4 will assure these requests are processed without requiring staff remain at work past the contract work hours.

Maryland Consumer Protection Fund

Maryland mandates builders of NEW HOMES, or, an entity who SELLS NEW HOMES - (dwelling units) - must be registered and possess a registration number issued by the Maryland Consumer Protection division - an agency within the State Attorney General Office.

The details of this mandate are found HERE.

The State is creating a consumer protection fund. ONLY owners of property built by a registered builder, MAY obtain relief using that fund.

The property owner must complete the Landowner Affirmation form attached HERE.

NOTE: Should property owners wish to construct their own home, they must complete the above form and provide it with their respective permit application.
