Maryland Consumer Protection Fund

 

Maryland mandates builders of NEW HOMES, or, an entity who SELLS NEW HOMES - (dwelling units) - must be registered and possess a registration number issued by the Maryland Consumer Protection division - an agency within the State Attorney General Office.

The State created a Consumer Protection Fund. ONLY owners of property built by a registered builder, MAY obtain relief using that fund.

 

The property owner must complete the Landowner Affirmation form attached HERE.

 

NOTE: Should property owners wish to construct their own home, they must complete the above form and provide it with their respective permit application.
